It’s been a very full on week, but on the 1st of April I managed to make my way to the Tatuanui School harvest festival.
It’s located just outside of Morrinsville and is a real country School. This was also the first time they had run the festival.
Tim was asked to judge the pumpkins and there was quite a good turnout, including the creations which had a lot of interest and made people want to start thinking about growing next year which was great to hear.
There were lots of things to do from bouncy castles, to bump it balls to a very cool “train” giving rides and a pay to vote plan to find out if the principal or a teacher was going to get a pie to the face. It turned out both of them got one.
A great turn out and hopefully an event that will keep running in the future.
All the photos from the event can be found on the photos page.

Growing giant pumpkins is a passion that I love sharing. 🎃 If you’ve found my content helpful or entertaining, why not say thanks with a coffee? ☕
It’ll fuel my next giant pumpkin adventure!
