While at the time of writing this there wasn’t a new world record for giant pumpkins there were records being broken around the world.
Germany
Matthias Wuersching grew a 1986.4lb (901kg) pumpkin.

Olin Zmarley grew a 988lb (448kg) pumpkin

Todd Kline grew a 1877 (851kg) pumpkin
Oh and there was a new record for a squash set as well.
Scott Holub weighed in a 1844.5lb sqaush which was bigger than the 1st place pumpkin
