A new NZ giant pumpkin record has been made over the weekend, with a 721kg (1589.5 pound) monster which was entered into the RD1 competition in Whangarei.
This was grown by Eve, Jason and Alan Barton, and was grown from the 1724 Harp and crossed with the 1536.5 Van Kooten seed.

Look forward to seeing what else appears this season, and looking forward to the start of next season.
