It’s cold and gloomy here in our off season, what have I been up to and what am I looking forward to in the near future. And… what have you been up to?
What went well for me and what didn’t in the 2019 giant pumpkin growing season? I list down everything I can think of to help me prepare for next season and hopefully help you with ideas about your giant pumpkin growing in the future.
We went down to Gisborne to see pumpkins, things didn’t work out as planned. We had a great time and saw one pumpkin, find out what happened and how our trip went.
I went along and judged the Te Kowhai School Harvest Festival Pumpkins recently, a tough job with so many awesome creations.
Some of the vines were soft and rotting, leading up the stem which had a soft spot. I decided to cut Jerry from the vine. Hopefully it will last until the Carnival.
We went to the 2019 Kumeu A&P show to check out their pumpkins. We met the Prime Minister and much more.
